Roll 8 hand coloring

Roll 3 layers

This is my favorite picture for roll 3. I wish i could put more contrast in and add dodge and burn a bit more to bring the image oput a bit.

This was my favorite for roll 7. If I could go back I would burn the edges a little.

Roll 5 downtown mall field trip critique

This was my favorite for roll 5. If I could go back, I would dodge caroline a little, and I would also dodge the window.

Roll 2 critique

This was my favorite for roll 2. If I could go back, i would dodge and burn better, and i would add a tad more contrast and expose it more to give it a clearer appearence.

roll one critique

This is favorite from roll one. I am pretty happy with it over all, however I wish i could go back and do a bit better solarizing the bottom right p[art of the hallway.

#7 solarization

This picture was taken by scott kuehn. He solarized this rose. He probobly used a pretty wide aperature as nothing behind the rose is in focus. The actual composition of the rose in beautiful and the solarization adds a whole new theme to the beautiful flower.

#6 cross processing

This Photo was taken by Brian Auer. He used cross processing to switch the color hues around. It gives the photo a completely different look. He exposed and printed the picture right. The aperature was probobly pretty small because pretty much the whole picture is in focus. I liked this photo because of the way the colors force you to look at the picture differently.  

#5 downtown mall (free choice)

This photo was taken by Elizabeth Opalenik. I really like this photo because of the way the open gate draws your eyes to the center of the photo. I like how she used a small aperature, and made sure the whole thing was in focus.

#4 polaroid transfers

I could not find the name of the person who took this. :( I like the way the colors transfered on the polaroid. The reds visibly stand out more and they also have a greater contrast to the green leaves on the trees.

#3 layers

I do not know the name of this photographer. He most likely used a small aperature because all of the background and foreground are in focus. I think he did an excellent job of showing an example of layers.                             

#2 3200 film

This photograph was taken by Stacie Turner, using 3200 film. I liked this picture because of the way the photographer set it up. The aperature used was not the smallest or the largest, because the trees behind the subject (the girl) are still partially in focus. There is however a certain air about the photo that draws my eyes to the girls feet. I kinda like the line where the rocks end and the water begins, as I think it seperates the photograph into thirds, drawing my eyes to the girl.

Roll one free roll

This photograph was taken by Fridgeir Helgason. It is called the Lonly Kiosk. The picture has a wide and long depth of field, so he probobly took the picture using a small narrow aperature, and a slower shutter speed. I like the picture because of the water stains on the asphalt, leading the eye up to the kiosk and then into the sky beyond.
